1. The app

Nautical Logbook is a personal logbook application for recording passages, positions, weather, observations, photos and related boating information. The app can also display map information and create PDF exports from your logbook.

2. Not a navigation or safety service

Nautical Logbook is a record-keeping tool. It is not a certified navigation system, electronic chart, collision-avoidance system, distress service or substitute for official charts, notices, required equipment, good seamanship or applicable maritime rules.

You remain responsible for navigation, safety decisions and for determining whether any official or statutory logbook requirements apply to your vessel or voyage.

3. Your logbook information

You are responsible for the information you enter or capture in Nautical Logbook and for checking that positions, dates, times, course, speed, weather and other information are correct before relying on them.

4. Location and map information

Device location, speed and course can be affected by GPS availability, device settings, signal conditions and other technical limitations. Map information is provided through third-party services and may be incomplete, delayed or inaccurate.

Do not use the map view or automatically captured device information as your sole source for safe navigation.

5. Local storage and backups

The current version stores logbook data locally on your iPhone. You are responsible for maintaining any device backups or exported copies you consider important. Deleting the app, losing or replacing the device, device failure or operating-system changes can result in loss of locally stored information.

6. Photos, notes and other content

You retain ownership of content you add to Nautical Logbook. You are responsible for ensuring that you have the right to store, export and share that content.

7. Availability and changes

Nautical Logbook may be updated, changed or temporarily unavailable because of software updates, operating-system changes, third-party map services or other technical reasons. Nubisor AB may modify or discontinue features when reasonably necessary.

8. Disclaimer and liability

Nautical Logbook is provided on an as-available basis. To the extent permitted by applicable law, Nubisor AB does not guarantee uninterrupted operation, permanent data availability, the accuracy of device-derived information or the continued availability of third-party map services.

Nothing in these terms limits rights or remedies that cannot legally be excluded, including mandatory consumer rights.

9. Privacy

The Nautical Logbook Privacy Policy explains how the app handles location, photos, locally stored logbook information, map requests and support communications.

10. Governing law and contact

These terms are governed by Swedish law, subject to any mandatory rights that apply in your country of residence. Questions can be sent to nauticallogbook@nubisor.se.
